Required Skills:

• Valid RN license in the state of employment
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• At least 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to adapt quickly in a high-pressure setting

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience in a teaching hospital or critical care environment
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system and Pyxis medication system
• Experience with complex patient populations such as burns, plastic/reconstructive surgery, urology, and maxillofacial procedures
• Previous charge nurse experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree preferred
• Demonstrated expertise in caring for adult and geriatric patients with diverse surgical and medical conditions

Other Requirements:

• Flexibility to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) and every other/third weekend
• Ability to float within the Ohio State University Medical Center as needed
• Valid parking permit (options available through CampusParc)
• Passion for delivering high-quality patient-centered care
